In House Solicitor (Energy Company)

Commercial Solicitor Dublin., Leading Energy Company Dublin

Your new company

A leading Irish energy business based in Dublin City is recruiting for a Solicitor to join the team as an In House Solicitor on a 3 year Fixed Term Contract.

The company is dedicated to the provision of transmission and market services for the benefit of electricity consumers and is committed to delivering high quality services to all customers and It puts in place the grid infrastructure needed to support competition in energy, to promote economic growth, to facilitate more renewable energy, and to provide essential services.

You will be a key legal resource and member of the Group Finance & Legal team providing legal advice and guidance across the entire I-SEM Project team and relevant stakeholders.

Your new role

The Integrated Single Electricity Market (I-SEM) is a new wholesale electricity market arrangement for Ireland and Northern Ireland. The new market arrangements are designed to integrate the all-island electricity market with European electricity markets, enabling the free flow of energy across borders.

I-SEM will result in the introduction of an integrated electricity trading model which requires the services of other European entities and service providers.

The I-SEM marketplace legal requirements are therefore complex and wide ranging and will mean that several new legal contracts and agreements will need to be entered into and maintained by our legal personnel in order to fulfil our licensing and code obligations.
