Assigned Certifier Required for Global Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy

Your new role
You will be joining the company's Dublin branch which is primarily focused on Building Compliance, where you will gain the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across Ireland.

Within this role, you responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking plans checks to assure compliance with the Building Regulations.
  • Undertaking site visits, preparing site visit reports, witnessing tests.
  • Registering and administering projects on the BCMS system.
  • Preparing and administering Inspection Plans and Inspection Notification Frameworks.
  • Liaising with Design and Construction Teams, Ancillary Certifiers and local authority Building Control.
  • Signing statutory certificates as the Assigned Certifier under the BCAR legislation.
  • Carrying out the role of the named Assigned Certifier under the BCAR legislation.
  • Attending client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building compliance work.
  • Becoming familiar with and using the management systems, including complying with the Quality Management system.
  • Discussing all aspects of your work to achieve a high standard of technical and management competence.
  • Operating in accordance with the commercial requirements of the projects (costs and programme) and immediately advising your manager of difficulties or uncertainties.
  • Complying with the Company's health and safety policy.
  • Undertaking your work in a manner to bring credit and high reputation to the Company and yourself.
  • Contributing to and supporting the required office culture, conduct and discipline to encourage enjoyable, productive and efficient working of all personnel.
  • Fostering sound working relationships with the team, other employees and contacts.
  • Undertaking other duties consistent with the job description that may be required from time to time.

What you'll need to succeed
To be suitable for this role, you will need to be a Registered Architect, Engineer or Building Surveyor.
You must also have a strong working knowledge of the Current Irish Building Regulations and previous experience working on projects through the construction stages and being on site.
