Mortgage Portfolio Specialist

Mortgage Portfolio Credit Specialist, leading Irish bank, Swords, 6-month assignment

Your new company
Your new company is a leading retail bank in Ireland. You will be working in their office based in Airside, Swords. The office is very easily accessible by car or bus and there is on-site parking with many local amenities in the area.

Your new role
Your new role centres around finding workable solutions for customers who have fallen into arrears or are in a pre-arrears situation on their mortgage account. Your team looks after Primary Domestic Home cases as well as some Buy- To-Let properties, and the solutions you can offer have a real and meaningful effect on the customers’ lives. You will be assessing their financial statements and ascertaining their suitability for various solutions. You will use a decision-making tool to get recommendations in certain situations. Your role is governed by various deadlines and timeframes, such as SLAs set by the CCMA.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will need to have experience working to deadlines as part of a team but also able to work on your own initiative to get through your workload. It would be preferred if you have experience in credit underwriting, restructuring or debt management. You will need to meet the bank’s minimum educational requirements of 5 passes in Leaving Certificate (including ordinary level maths and English) or a Level 8 degree. This is an MCC impacted role, so you will need to have APA Loans and Regulations as a minimum or ideally a full and up to date QFA.

What you'll get in return
In return you will get excellent exposure working within a dynamic department of a leading Irish institution. You will be offered a 6-month initial assignment through Hays, with the opportunity for extension or option to be made permanent down the line. You will be paid on a weekly basis by Hays and will receive a competitive hourly rate. You will be working full time, 37 hours per week, with some degree of flexibility when it comes to daily working times.
