You will work in the SSC of a Global organisation, that has over 8,000 employees, over 55 locations worldwide, Customers in over 100 countries, Multi Billion Dollar Turnover and invests about 10% of Turnover in R&D. Your new role

You will be responsible for the general ledger accounting for fixed assets and leasing across international entities, balance sheet reconciliations and the recording and management of fixed asset and lease data. You be accountable for the management of day-to-day activities relating to fixed assets and leasing and ensuring compliance with US GAAP accounting standards, in particular ASC 842. You serve as a Relationship Manager for international entities in relation to fixed assets and leases with responsibility for regular communication with internal customers as well as responsibility for driving compliance with policy and overall reporting.   • Manage day-to-day Fixed Asset Accounting for International entities.
  • Check completeness and accuracy of fixed asset subledger and month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments.
  • Monitor a system of controls, policies and procedures for the recording of fixed assets.
  • Co-ordinate periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets and identify items for disposal
  • Initiate periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets and investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets
  • Manage day-to-day Lease Accounting for International entities.
  • Responsible for the upload and maintenance of lease records within the system.
  • Responsible for supporting the timely and accurate review and posting of month end close and accounting transactions related to leasing; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution.
  • Ensure financial records are in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Consistently maintain appropriate internal controls and uphold company policies & procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a Qualified Accountant, ACA, CPA, ACA, ideally with SSC or MNC experience.
Having been trained in a Big 4 would be an advantage.
