Sustainability Engineer

Energy Manager required for a leading facilities management services company in north Dublin.

Your new company
Provide a wide range of facilities management (FM) services across Ireland, Europe, and the UK. These are delivered as integrated FM contracts, in bundles or as single services, depending on client requirements. Their service areas include Integrated FM; Hard FM technical and building services; Cleaning, Security, and front of house. They work with a wide range of private and public clients to create great work environments. Their premise is simple, carrying out the exceptional, every day.

Your new role
Support internal business units with utilities and energy queries. Promote Energy Awareness throughout the business. Implementing environmental policies and practices; ensuring compliance with environmental legislation. Devising strategies to meet targets and to encourage best practice. Devising the best tools and systems to monitor performance and to implement strategies. Assessing, analysing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies. Acting as a champion for sustainability, energy and environmental issues within the organisation. Providing environmental training to staff at all levels, to promote a net zero carbon portfolio. Keeping up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislation and initiatives including international legislation where applicable.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 2.1 honours degree in Environmental Sciences, Building Services, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • A genuine interest in and understanding of reducing energy consumption, environmental issues, relevant legislation and renewable energy sources
  • Previous Facilities experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent MS products skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Previous Experience of managing people preferable, but not essential.
  • Strong administration, organisational, documentation and analytical skills.

What you'll get in return
A salary of €60,000 - €65,000 (DOE) plus a company vehicle or a vehicle allowance of up to €7,000.
