Graduate Facilities Technician

Graduate Facilities Engineer required in Clare.

Our client is seeking a Graduate Facilities Engineer for the Clare region. The work you will be involved in is varied and they oversee a wide range of both hard and soft services. A recently graduated person with a background in facilities / engineering or similar would be ideal with a strong Microsoft office skills.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Facilities Engineer will assist in the day-to-day management of landlord services in accordance with best practice and statutory requirements to ensure maximum availability and efficiency
  • Assist in the monitoring of plant performance and day to day operation through intelligent use of Building Management Systems.
  • Maintain & enhance where appropriate logs of all daily/weekly activities.
  • Supervise PPM & associated minor repairs & adjustments in accordance with annual planner to on site systems including but not limited to Emergency Lighting Systems, Disabled Call Alarm Systems, Fire Doors, Smoke Vents.
  • Update the assets and equipment register including control and ordering of spare parts & stock as required.
  • Supervise Mechanical & Electrical contractors and ad-hoc projects to ensure that all works are carried out within schedule and specification.
  • Assist with campus events set up and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  • Deputize for the Maintenance Manager as per annual leave staff roster including participation in cover for out of hours emergency call outs.
  • Develop and build competencies in management of complex BMS & HVAC systems, in modern Grade 1 office accommodation.
  • Qualification relevant to Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  • Health & Safety knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Successful candidate will be self-motivated, willing to work as part of team and aspire to progressing their career in a Facilities Management related discipline.
  • Excellent administrative skill set with functional knowledge of Microsoft office products, including email.
  • Fluency in English
