Your new role
The function of the role is to provide services for the operation and maintenance of the airport baggage handling systems. Their asset base includes conveyors, x-ray machines, sortation systems, PLCs, SCADA, bar code scanning equipment and other equipment associated with a fully automated conveyance system. The roles are shift based 24/7 and based at Dublin Airport. They are 12 hour shifts across a 4 week cycle, 7am to 7pm & 7pm to 7am. You will be working in a team of multi-skilled technicians and operatives in a fully cross skilled and cross functional team, the successful candidate will be supported to develop all the requisite skillsets to flourish as a highly skilled technician.
You will be reporting to the relevant Asset Management Team Lead the primary focus of this role is to operate and maintain all systems and assets. At the core of this role is the safe provision of effective planned and reactive maintenance to support the various engineering systems and equipment assigned to each technician & team. Work is delivered through key performance indicators to facilitate the successful operation of their asset base at Dublin Airport.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant technical qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent.
Experience of all or some of the following systems is desirable. - Conveyors systems, automation, Building Service Systems (mech and/or Elec, Life safety, HVAC, Security, Public health systems etc.)
- Appropriate and recognised technical qualification.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the building services operations & associated systems.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Computer literate (can demonstrate competency in Microsoft office).
- Proven track record of excellent team working/interpersonal skills.
- Provide full flexibility in terms of hours of work, shift patterns, out of hours call in and remote technical support.
