My client a group at the forefront of innovation within the energy industry and the leading the way to a low-carbon, technology led future of the industry are seeking a Regulatory Analyst to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Your new role
As the Regulatory Analyst, a large focus of your role will be to provide regulatory and commercial support in delivering regular regulatory reports, assisting in the development of positions on regulatory policy matters, or determining connection charges for connecting new large-scale strategic customers. The work undertaken by you will therefore have significant industry impact and will be important in helping deliver strategy to transform the power system. Reporting to the Group Head of Regulation, you would also have an opportunity to work on, and gain and appreciation and insight to, other strategic, policy, revenue and commercial related activities within the Group Regulation team
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a degree in business, engineering or a related field and have at least 2 years experience working in a multi disciplinary environment ideally within a regulatory body. You will possess strong qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information. You will also possess the ability to draft documentation in a rational, evidence based, clear and concise manner. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills including report writing.
You will come from a commercial background and have strong commercial awareness. An appreciation of technical/engineering concepts, or a strong interest in developing same, would be advantageous for this role. Alternatively, this could be an opportunity for someone with a technical background (in engineering) looking to develop new commercial skills in a regulatory environment
