Financial Accountant job - Hybrid Role in Galway - Large MNC

Your new company
Your new company is a global specialist in energy management and automation in more than 100 countries. This European MNC addresses homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industries, by combining energy technologies, real-time automation, software and services. The company's Irish base is located in Galway city. The role has been created through growth with the company having expanded exponentially across the world in recent years.

Your new role
You will essentially perform the role of Financial Controller of your new business function, having total responsibility for the month-end management accounts for the freight operations of your new company. You will be working as part of a team of 10 accountants managing a variety of business functions in the EMEA Head Office.

You will gain great exposure to various functions of a finance department in large-scale multi-national operation, reporting to and liaising with senior management on a regular basis. The role will also include FP&A responsibilities around strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, interco accounting etc.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have completed you accounting qualifications but this is not essential. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Office is a must, Oracle experience is also an advantage. You will also need to demonstrate highly analytical, problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also essential as well as the ability to work up as well as down in an MNC environment.
