Hays Manufacturing and Engineering are currently hiring for an exciting new role of Systems Test Technician for a well-established designer and manufacturer of high reliability motor control solutions. The company produces motion control products for aerospace, defence, industrial and medical application industries. Located in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork for the last 41 years, this company is certified to the Aerospace Standard AS/EN9100.

Your new role
In your new role, you will use various equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Frequency Generators and Power Supplies to test and troubleshoot systems and product returned. You will also use layout and assembly drawings, procedures, and specifications to set up and test products.
You will be responsible for the functional testing and debugging of modern electronic controllers at system and component level, performing failure analysis for production and returned assemblies with high voltage test equipment.
You will assist in technician training and product familiarisation as well as being involved with the engineering team, implementing engineering changes if needed. This role will also involve completing all necessary documented relating to the testing you will be carrying out and adherence to all necessary requirements regarding antistatic precautions, safety and housekeeping and personal tool maintenance.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a level 6 qualification in Electronics or related discipline and previous experience, preferably in an ISO9001 environment.
IPC 7711/7721 and IPC-A-610 certifications are an advantage
You will also be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a dynamic team within a busy manufacturing environment.

A salary of €36,000 as well as a range of amazing benefits.
The company provides the statutory 20 days annual leave an additional 7 days leave and the option to purchase an additional 3 days or sell the additional 7 days.
The company may pay the full fee or a contribution fee to course fees on the commencement of the course at the discretion of the management and HR. There is a sliding fee if course not completed or employee leaves within 2 years.
