Your new company

This multinational company has a manufacturing site in Cork and has always had a strong reputation as an employer. My contact in the company is there over 20 years and I know it a great place to work. It continues to grow and expand, this is through increased revenues but also through mergers and acquisitions. Revenues and profits are up year on year, with share price in a strong growth position.

Your new role

You will be the first full time Tax Accountant on site as its necessary now to bring in a dedicated Tax person. The company will continue to use external providers internationally and in Ireland. Your experience and learning curve will determine future needs.

You will work with an experienced team with a nice culture, very team orientated with strong support. Work with external Tax consultants to support filing of annual Corporation Tax return and preliminary tax payments. Calculation and posting of monthly, corporation & deferred tax provisions.

The role also involves:

• Preparation and filing of Indirect tax returns.
• Completion of Group compliance submissions.
• Assist with transfer pricing compliance.
• Engage with Revenue Authorities.
• Support colleagues, to ensure new business flows are compliant with tax legislation e.g. VAT implications of supply chain operations.
• Build close relationships with the Group Tax Department.
• Support financial year end audit.
• Maintain the company tax policy, control framework for tax risks. Work with finance colleagues to strengthen the controls framework, ensuring compliance and minimising risks.
• Keep up-to-date with current tax requirements and develop an awareness of changes in relevant tax law and practices and communicate their impact on the business.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be Tax Qualified with relevant experience gained in-house or in a large firm. We can determine the relevance of your experience.
