Financial Accountant job - Newly Qualified Accountant - Shannon - Aviation Industry

Your new role

The role is for a Financial Accountant within the Client Services team. The role is ideal for someone with a high level of technical accounting and audit knowledge and is also an ideal landing spot for someone looking to make the move from Big 4/Top 10 audit into industry. You will be given responsibility for producing month-end management accounts, year-end statutory reporting, CT and VAT returns. You will also provide financial analysis on transactions, co-ordinate the external audit process and manage all aspects of the tax returns admin. In addition, you will be responsible for internal controls for client accounting processes, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with strong technical knowledge, preferably trained in audit within a Big 4/Top 10/large Irish firm. The role would most likely suit someone at Audit Senior/Audit Manager level looking to make the move into industry but is also open to candidates with a strong background in financial services or financial accounting within industry. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with robust time management and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet strict deadlines on multiple concurrent projects.
