Financial Controller job - Manufacturing MNC - High Growth Company - County Galway

Your new company

Your new company is a multi-billion global leader in electronics manufacturing and automation, having recently established a site in County Galway and are aiming to bring their world-class expertise to Ireland. They service over 100,000 customers across industries as diverse as industrial, manufacturing, transportation and logistics as well as other electronics end markets offering a comprehensive list of products from semiconductors to sensors, switches to fuses. Your new role

You will lead the finance function and be the most senior finance professional on-site in Galway, leading a team of up to 5 direct reports across two jurisdictions. As well as leading the team and having final responsibility for day-to-day accounting, month-end process and maintaining a robust control environment, you will also be tasked with bringing the business unit's accounting policies and reporting deadlines in line with US GAAP reporting requirements as well as streamlining the company's budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes. You will also work cross-functionally with all members of senior management team on-site to optimise profits, cost controls and achieve company objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a fully qualified accountant with a professional accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with preferably 5+ years post qualified industry experience. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting and internal controls are a must for this role as well as a successful track record of leading teams and working with senior leaders cross-functionally to achieve company objectives. Exposure in a manufacturing/cost accounting background is a distinct advantage but the role is open to candidates coming from diverse backgrounds. Experience implementing integrated ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle and advanced skills in Excel and financial modelling is also an advantage. S
