Senior Accountant job - High Growth Pharma MNC - County Galway

Your new role

Your new role will report directly to the Financial Planning and Reporting Manager and you will join a high-functioning team of six qualified accounting professionals, including one direct report. You will play a major role in the month-end process for the company, producing month-end management accounts for the group and preparing a comprehensive month-end file to support all balances each month. You will also be tasked with ensuring a robust system of internal controls, monitor compliance procedures, play a central role in the external audit process and you will also play a central role in process improvements and implementing new systems as the company continues to grow. This is an exciting role with endless possibilities for you to gain extensive exposure across systems, project management, team leadership, working cross-functionally in an innovative environment as well as a hands-on financial reporting and analysis role.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a fully qualified accountant with a professional accreditation (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA) with at least 5+ years post-qualified experience in industry. You will ideally have exposure in a role within a manufacturing environment, this can be from any industry such as engineering, construction, medical devices, technology but preferably from pharma. Exposure to working in a high-functioning, global MNC is also preferred as is experience in implementing and optimising ERP systems and process improvements. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must as is an ability to demonstrate a questioning, innovative and solutions-first mindset. People management experience is an advantage but not essential.
