Exciting job opportunity for a Registered Architect in Galway

Your new company

You will join a fast growing engineering consultancy based in Galway City. They provide a broad range of engineering services for both the commercial and residential sectors, specialising in projects from the inception of a project up until the final sign off with an in-house team of Architects, Civil and Structural Engineers and Interior Designers. They are currently looking for an experienced RIAI Architect for their experienced team.

Your new role

The successful Architect will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Registered Architect, preferably within a design office or multidisciplinary organisation where they have taken projects from inception through to completion on site either on their own or as part of a team. Projects will be varied in type and size ranging from one-off houses to large scale mixed use commercial, industrial and residential developments. This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to grow into a role of responsibility in an expanding practice.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Architecture and 2 years post registration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish Planning & Building Regulations
  • Experience of the Building Control Management System online platform and process would be an advantage.
  • Managing projects including attending site meetings and carrying out site inspections.
  • You will have your own transport with a full driver’s licence.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of rendering software would be an advantage.
  • Experience in construction detailing is essential and in preparing planning applications an advantage.
  • Preparation of Architectural drawings in both 2D and 3D.
  • Assisting Engineers & other design team members in preparation of technical details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills/ Excellent standard of spoken, written and technical English.
