Your new role

This role involves working in partnership with Asset Development to develop projects as the business case evolves, and progressing projects based on risks and opportunities. Wind energy, has been identified as a key part of the organisations strategy to increase renewable generation capacity to 5GW by 2030. Projects are expected to be developed from a number of sources including development opportunities and acquisitions. You will lead LCoE analysis of OSW project configurations. This will involve a mixture of co-ordinating and / or performing modelling of specialised analysis for Layouts, energy yield analysis (EYA), Transportation & installation (T&I) and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) in collaboration with discipline leads. Futhermore, you will manage and lead cost benchmarking exercises (utilising estimation tools for DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX) in collaboration with technical leads. Addtionally, you will procure, own, and develop a robust understanding of modelling software packages, managing all engagement with software providers.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking to speak with candidates who have a primary engineering level 8 degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant work experience. You will have minimum 3-4 years experience in a similar role, with a strong appreciation and expertise of the commercial and technical aspects of project design and construction. You will have excellent communication skills, and be a proactive individual who takes responsibility & accountability for assigned work packages. Previous experience with cost estimating, an understanding of offshore wind projects lifecycle costs and drivers cost reduction and MSc / Chartered Engineer status is desirable, but not a requirement for this position.

You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to lead Ireland's transition to net zero carbon future. A progressive, hybrid-working model is in operation, along with excellent career development through mentoring and training. Along with this you will have access to various staff-well being programmes and comprehensive diversity and inclusion programmes.
