An SME telecoms company in Dublin West are scaling up having recently received investment and as such have a newly created role available for a Financial Controller. The hybrid working model is 50% in the office and 50% working from home.

Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director and joining an overall team of 4, you will have 2 direct reports who are very well established in their roles. Your role will be to come in and mentor these individuals as they progress on their accountancy exams, whilst reviewing their work with precision and accuracy. As a lot of the day-to-day duties will be handled by the team, this role will focus more on strategic and commercial growth and projects.

Your duties will include:

• Integrating newly acquired companies into the business
• Due diligence on acquisitions, including financial modelling as requested by private equity firm
• Review and finalising monthly management accounts and board park
• Additional reporting for ComReg, investor reporting and Enterprise Ireland
• Applying for relevant grants with Enterprise Ireland, in particular R&D knowledge will be beneficial here
• Lead the annual audit process
• Partner with department heads and C-suite on the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, in particular around cash management
• Oversee debtors days

What you'll need to succeed

• You must be a fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA), unfortunately part-qualified and qualified by experience candidates will not be suitable for this position
• You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in industry with management responsibilities
• Experience with acquisitions - integrating acquired companies and/or due diligence
• Experience applying for grants
• Ambitious individual with strong forecasting abilities and a growth mindset

What you'll get in return
