An SME architecture firm with offices across Ireland, boasting a collaborative environment full of creative individuals. Due to growth they have a newly created Financial Accountant role available on the team and are looking for someone with commercial and financial accounting experience.
Hybrid working is on offer with this role, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will join an overall team of 3 people.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will join an overall team of 3 people.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Balance sheet control account reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of management accounts
- Partner with Project Managers on set up of new projects
- Financial modelling to project income flows and identify how to increase profitability on projects
- Review and approve payroll
- Lead new project and time management system implementation
- Build out KPI and BI reporting to help drive profitability of the whole business
- Invoicing, billing support and revenue recognition on contracts
- Manage subcontractor and 3rd party invoicing
- VAT & Withholding tax returns
- WIP Reporting
- Year end statutory audit and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- You will need to be a qualified accountant, ideally small practice trained with 5 years' PQE
- Experience with project costing & WIP reporting
- Experience with financial modelling
- Experience with project & time management systems, especially system implementations
- An interest in powerBI and data analytical tools
