Your new role

Your new role will sit between the Head of Tax who you will report into and the rest of the tax team of 2 tax assistants who you will manage and help co-coordinate their activities while also coaching them in best practice in tax. You will oversee all tax compliance of a broad range of clients, prepare and review all tax returns across all tax heads, assist in the formulation of tax compliance policies internally and reviewing procedures to improve efficiency. You will also be responsible for providing consultancy on the tax implications of business decisions with clients and also liaising with stakeholders internally on tax planning and resolving tax issues. This is very much a hands-on tax role which requires a solutions-focused mindset. It is an ideal opportunity if you are coming from practice/financial services background and would like to adapt your knowledge and apply it to an ever-changing and exciting industry while also expanding your knowledge by working with some of the top tax professionals in the region.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) with at least 4-5 years direct tax experience, ideally with at least 1-2 years PQE. This is the ideal opportunity for someone coming from practice looking for their first role in industry. There is guaranteed progression in terms of responsibility and salary in the role, as well as mentorship from senior colleagues who will help develop your skills and exposure. You will have great communication skills, both written and oral, as well as superb attention to detail. People management is apart of the role but previous experience in this is not essential. Proven track record reporting to strict deadlines and a demonstrated ability to solve problems with a can do, positive attitude.
