Leading Contract Lab Testing Client-Micro Analyst-Waterford

Your new company

Here in Hays we have a fantastic permanent opportunity for Microbiology Analyst with our Scientific Services client based in Waterford. This broad and varied position will within their product testing team and also involve quality control testing of pharmaceutical samples.

The client is a leading contract laboratory services provider specialized in testing and research services in the environmental, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical sciences for world renowned industry leaders.

Your new role

  • To perform routine and non-routine analysis, as requested by the laboratory.
  • To prepare and approve results for tests in which they are deemed competent.
  • To deal with customer queries and telephone significant results to customers.
  • To revise SOPs as required by the laboratory.
  • To be responsible for up dating any relevant documentation when requested.
  • To identify any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement.
  • To participate in the company’s weekend rota and/or overtime schedule including early start / late finish as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in microbiology or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years microbiology testing experience in a GMP laboratory
  • Experience with Bioburden, MLT and Sterility testing
  • Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills
  • Passionate about quality and customer service
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally
