New opening for a Part II Architect to join a practice in Westport.
Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy practice as it continues to grow their name in the west. Your new office is based in Westport, Mayo, voted one of Ireland's top ten best places to live. This company has specialised in one off, high end houses over the last few years, but due to demand they have taken on a number of residential developments across Connacht. Now is an exciting time to join this practice as they grow their brand and portfolio of projects. They will offer you the support and guidance to develop your skills and experience in the industry.
Your new role
Joining this practice as a Part II Architect you will work on varying sized residential projects. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure working on all stages of the project from concept through to completion, both in the office and on-site. Previous experience within an architectural practice is preferable. You will be proficient in AutoCAD & Sketchup. Strong hand-sketching & drawing abilities. Excellent design and technical skills. Ability to produce computer generated plans, layouts and drawings. Good construction knowledge with tender/detailing experience. Ability to use initiative and have excellent problem solving abilities.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a degree in Architecture and preferably 2-3 years’ experience working in a practice. You will have a good understanding of industry regulations. Possess strong technical skills. Self-motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and SketchUp. Your own transport and a full clean licence is an advantage.
