Maintenance technician required for market leading food manufacturer in southwest Dublin

They manufacture for premium and mid-tier retailer brands as well as international brands. With their new cutting-edge facility in west Dublin, they have invested to deliver faster, better innovation and consistent quality on which their customers can rely on.

Your new role
Support the maintenance function to operate to the highest possible standards in line with delivering the most effective use of plant, machinery and premises to best support the business objectives.
Also supporting change and a process of innovation and continuous improvement within the maintenance function to most effectively support the broader business.
To ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained and operated at the optimum level for output, quality and health and safety.
Some of the Key responsibilities include :
  • Carry out Preventative Maintenance in accordance with documentation to a high standard.
  • Fault-find and repair breakdowns in a timely manner to maximise plant output.
  • Carry out all work to the required quality and safety standards.
  • Always work in safe manner, particularly specialist work such as hot work, working at heights, confined spaces and such.
  • Maintain self, tools, toolboxes and workshop in a standard appropriate to a food manufacturing business.· Carry out Preventative Maintenance in accordance with documentation to a high standard.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 5 Years Maintenance Experience: Either in Food or Pharmaceutical production, preferably with some experience of a large company environment

  • Must have a keen interest in improving current systems in place and be self-motivated with an enquiring mind.

  • Must have the ability to work with others on site and to be flexible.

  • Attention to detail and ability to solve problems.


What you'll get in return

A salary ranging of €55,000 to €60,000 (DOE) plus a shift allowance on top of salary. On offer is also a pension scheme and other company benefits.

You will be required to do shift work which alternates every week with the below break-down of the hours. OT is available at the weekends also.
  • Week 1 Mon – Fri 6am to 2:30pm
  • Week 2 Mon – Fri 2:30pm to 11:00pm
