Maintenance supervisor required for market a leading food manufacturer in south west Dublin

Your new roleTo effectively manage the production operation with a mix of hands on, line and area supervision.
To ensure a safe working environment, adhering to training instructions, including the correct use of PPE, highlighting safety issues and taking care in ensuring the health and safety of self and others in the work place, whilst complying with Food Safety Standards and legal requirements outlined in the Company Quality Manual.
To work with colleagues in a safe, positive and helpful manner to ensure all products are manufactured and shipped according to technical specifications and procedures. Continuously support the ongoing Growing our Future initiative.
- Ensure safe work practices are adhered to within the manufacturing areas.
- Ensure all products are manufactured according to specifications and procedures.
- Continuously drive and improve H&S, Quality & Performance. Ensure the manufacturing area is maintained at the highest level of hygiene compatible with the business.
- Maintain operative awareness of hygiene needs and regulations.
- Support in the recruitment & selection process within your area ensuring that production operation is properly staffed at all times.
- Ensure full technical audit compliance.
- Resolve day to day technical and operational issues or report them for resolution to the day shift.
- Ensure that all functions work effectively together on shift, resolving issues as they occur.
- Seek improvements while maintaining an extremely high level of quality and hygiene.
- Ensure effective handovers to subsequent shifts ensuring they have all relevant information.
- A trade certificate or relevant 3rd level education qualification.
- 5+ years working as a supervisor or manager in a similar role.
- Previous experience working in a food environment.
- Knowledge of food production.
- HACCP and BRC experience.
What you'll get in return
A salary ranging from €65,000 to €70,000 (DOE)
In relation to pension, it's 3% or 5%, which is matched by employers after 12 months service.
There is an additional loyalty bonus paid twice per annum and other additional benefits.
