Infrastructure Automation Engineer - Contract - Hybrid

Who will you be working for?

You will be working for one of Hays' major clients, a Fortune 500, multinational investment bank and financial services corporation based in the heart of Dublin city. This market leading organisation provides diversified financial services including retail, commercial and investment banking, along with wealth management solutions and other services. Our client has had a presence in Ireland since 1965, and from its Dublin office service over 160 countries, along with being the headquarters for EU operations. Working as an Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you will be immersed in the technological, progressive and dynamic culture that exists within the organisation.

What will you be working on?

You will be working as part of the Inventory Orchestration team who are an exciting and innovative group who have developed a platform to build, configure, and inventory application infrastructure including compute, networking, storage, middleware and security resources as part of an Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) ecosystem. The orchestrating application is primarily Java Spring with end point automation being performed by Ansible and Terraform. You will be working as a Senior Engineer, alongside a team with a strong appetite for developing and architecting automation solutions. You will architect and design automation solutions for complex enterprise infrastructure lifecycle.

What are we looking for?

Our client is looking for candidates with strong experience in Ansible/Ansible Tower engineering and administration, including customizing Ansible using, for example Ansible plugins. You will also be well versed in DevOps CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins, along with being competent with API, web services and microservices development. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift is well sought after, along with software development/scripting experience in Java/ Python/ Shell/ Bash. Furthermore, you will be a strong communicator with excellent leadership capabilities.
