Are you an experienced Business Development Manager looking for an exciting new role? Here at Hays we are looking to speak with an experienced Business Development Manager about an exciting role working with a leading travel company based in Dublin and Galway City. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in either of their offices.

Your new role :

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating plans for growing market share and building relations with new and existing customer customers (retention). You will oversee account profiles and monitor competitor activity as well as identifying, recruiting and on-boarding new channel partners and 3rdparty vendors, effectively manage these relationships. You will be responsible for managing and monitoring the online booking platform by ensuring capacity on all services. Reviewing and providing a solution to services that the ridership falls below the acceptable allowance as set by operations, by working with marketing to come up with ways to increase passenger numbers, will be a requirement. You will utilise the online booking platform for promotional voucher codes and push notifications. Monitor such codes to ensure full compliance. Analyse market trends and accordingly develop sales plans to increase brand awareness. Address partner related issues, sales conflicts, and pricing issues in a timely manner. Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales, and identify new business opportunities. Stay current with the latest developments in the marketplace and competitive activities. Deliver customer presentations and attend sales meetings and partner conferences. Assist in partner marketing activities such as tradeshows, campaigns, and other promotional activities. Work with CX in the management and after care of large group bookings. Work with CX Manager on the effective utilisation of the CRM System (currently Salesforce). Liaise with operations on any feedback or special requirements to facilitate partnerships. Liaise with finance in the effective management of sales target/budget.

What you'll need to succeed :

As Business Development Manager you will have a bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalent. 3+ years’ experience in business development and sales with a proven track record of achieving targets. Creative problem-solving skills and leadership abilities. Good technical knowledge and experience of using CRM systems is desirable but not essential. Customer relationship management skills. Communication skills, empathy and the ability to develop relationships and trust. Strategic planning and analysis skills. Proactive lead generation and prospecting skills. Comfortable evaluating a territory and establishing relationships with business contacts, including those at the executive level. Attention to detail with strong analytical skills. The ability to demonstrate experience in working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to plan and prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines.
